John Zorn "In Lambeth—Visions From The Walled Garden Of William Blake"

ジョン・ゾーンの新作は英国のロマン派の詩人で画家でもあるWillaim Blake (ウィリアム・ブレイク）の作品に触発されたもので，エレクトリック・ギター，ハープ，ヴィブラフォンのトリオによる編成という少し変わったスタイルのもので，ジャンル分けするのが難しい。強いていえば，フランスの後期ロマン派から印象派あたりになるのだろうか？　特に誰かに似ているというわけではなく,音の質感とか響きがという意味であるが。地に足が着いた（down to earth)ではなく，むしろ天上(up above, heavenly)の音楽ともいうべき。
