昨日の埋火のライブでアンコールで演奏されたのが、The Velvet Underground （ヴェルヴェット・アンダーグラウンド）の"Ride Into the Sun"で、正式のスタジオ盤ではなく、アルバム未収録曲を集めた編集盤の"Another View" (1986)に収録されている。ライブでは日本語の歌詞を付けて歌われていた。

ルー・リードの近所に住んでいた人の話によると、普段のリードはシャイで気さくな人だったらしい。ある日、黒づくめの格好でリムジンから出てきて「今日はルー・リード」してきたんた。」と言ったことがあるらしい。このエピソードは文藝別冊『ルー・リード』（[2014]河出書房新社）に収録されている和久井光司の「今日は"ルー・リード"してきたんだ」（pp.54-62)で取り上げられている。この話自体は伝聞であり確証はないのだが、いかにもリードらしいといえるのではないだろうか。ライブが終わって、この挿話が頭に思い起こされたのだが、それはたぶん偶然ではない。
